Are you ready to build a future in a national flexibles plastic factory? At Popes, we’re hiring Extrusion Blown Film Operators who want more than just a job — we offer career growth, security, and hands-on experience using modern equipment.
We’ve been operating since 1954, growing from textile bag recycling into a major national supplier of paper and plastic sack solutions. With investment in new facilities, we now have roles across two shifts - afternoon (2pm–10.06pm), and night (10pm–6.06am) shifts.
You’ll report to the supervisor/team leader on either day, afternoon or night shift, and you will be responsible for the set up and operation of the blown film extruding machines.
Extrusion Operator Duties
Set up and operate plastic extruding machines
Experience in blown film preferred
Safe use and operation of Forklift
Fault finding and diagnostic work
Work to high level KPI’s
Comply with SOP’s
Completing quality checks
About You
To succeed as an Extrusion Blown Film Operator, you’ll bring not only experience but also a mindset for growth. While you don’t need to be trade qualified, having a solid background in a production setting will give you a strong advantage.
You will also need:
Previous experience in operating plastic extruders highly desirable
Trade qualified highly desirable but not essential
Sound mechanical aptitude
Good team player with high work ethic
Great communication skills
Results orientated with strong problem-solving skills
Current High-Risk Forklift (LF) license
